I grew up in New Mexico in the southwest of the United States and received my Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of New Mexico in 2011. Following my strong connection to my parents' European roots, I moved to the Netherlands in 2014, where my studio is currently based. My artwork explores the complexities of perception of place and distance by examining the similarities between microscopic and macroscopic formations. I combine organic shapes with a vibrant color palette and detailed brushwork, as I draw on my many sources of inspiration, including maps, biology and nature, to create my imaginative abstract paintings.
